Travelling clinical outreaches

I’m proud to offer travelling clinical services to communities without regular access to Chiropractic care. It’s meaningful to me to provide care to those who otherwise don’t have access to care.

Regarding my travelling outreaches:

  1. I’ll be using the clinical and record keeping software of my home clinic Yukon Spa. This is for continuity of care reasons, where if you visit me or another practitioner at Yukon Spa I will have continued access to your clinical notes.

  2. I don’t have my usual support staff, which means that I’ll be doing my own invoicing. Direct billing to extended health benefits won’t be available while I’m away from my home clinic. Please provide payment by either credit card, cash, or e-transfer.

  3. Since I manage my own scheduling for my outreaches, please use my contact page to inquire about my next clinical outreach dates and for booking appointments. If you are inquiring about an outreach which I have already announced the dates of, please send me an email with your name and phone number and I’ll call you to arrange an appointment.

  4. Your patience and flexibility are appreciated. I maintain my usual practice standards while on outreach, which means that your first intake appointment will be mostly assessing your medical concern followed by a usually brief manual therapy treatment. I emphasize providing home rehab exercises for you to do while I’m away to help you keep getting better. Subsequent appointments, either at Yukon Spa or at the outreach location, tend to consist of more hands-on treatment.

I’m currently offering period chiropractic services in Mayo, Yukon, and Inuvik, NWT.

See more details below:

I aim to provide Chiropractic services in Mayo, Yukon, a over a few days, every 3 months or so. This takes place at the Mayo Health Centre. I’m grateful for the nursing staff there who are kind enough to accommodate me in their community.

Please don’t inquire with the Mayo Health Centre regarding booking appointments :)

In spring 2026, I will be providing my first outreach to Inuvik. I’m grateful for my host, Natasha (massage therapist in Inuvik) for hosting me at her home practice.

A note about Chiropractic in NWT: Chiropractic is not a regulated profession in the NWT. This is because when legislators wrote the laws many years ago there were no Chiropractors to regulate! Despite this, Chiropractors in the NWT choose to maintain being regulated in another jurisdiction in Canada of their choosing, maintain the professional and clinical standards of that province/territory, and follow all legislation regarding managing personal healthcare information. Since the title of “Doctor Giancarlo” is granted by regional legislation rather than by educational accomplishment, please consider referring to me as just “Giancarlo” while we are in NWT :)
